This glossary is about hair and makeup and what i learned in school that is now my hobby. Its going to have terms
ammonia
noun
Ammonia, an alkaline chemical, is used to raise the pH level of our hair during the colouring process. This then lifts the cuticles of the hair fibre and allows the colour to be deposited onto the cortex (the inner part of the hair protected by the cuticles).
Example: Ammonia isnt in washable hair dyes.

Demipermanent

What is demi-permanent color? Demi-permanent color contains no ammonia and deposits only.
Example: I bought myself a demipermanent hair dye today.

henna
noun
a reddish-brown dye made from the powdered leaves of a tropical shrub, used to colour the hair and decorate the body.
Example: Henna is a natural hair dye.

partial overflows
noun
they will not change the natural pigments in your hair. They are effective if you want to tone or darken your original color and revive it with bright highlights. This type of color lasts a maximum of 14 washes on the hair.

Semipermanent

lasting or intended to last for a long time but not permanent.

Semitemporary
noun
Neither temporary nor entirely permanent; of indefinite duration.
Example: Semitemporant hair dyes are the ones from the drug stores.

Sliding cut
noun
A slide haircut is a method of cutting the hair for a softer edge rather than a blunt line. It works well for longer lengths and for thick hair. A slide cut is a great technique for shorter layers on long hair without compromising the length.
Example: I told my haidresser that i want to have a haircut named sliding cut.
